Brickell Muay Thai

Not kickboxing aerobics. Muay Thai.

Most Muay Thai near Brickell is a cardio class with Thai music. At KO Zone it is the full art: the eight strikes, the clinch that separates Muay Thai from kickboxing, and pad rounds held by coaches who know how to read your technique.

It is also the most complete workout you can do before a day at a desk. Rounds of pads, bag work and conditioning build an engine that lasts, and you do not need to be in shape to start. Fundamentals classes meet beginners where they are.

Brickell members tend to stack Muay Thai with boxing or BJJ. With everything under one roof and classes from 5:30 AM to 10 PM on weekdays, it is easy to build a weekly routine around the office.

Brickell Questions

Asked & answered.

What is the difference between Muay Thai and kickboxing?

Muay Thai adds elbows, knees and a heavy clinch game. Kickboxing usually sticks to punches and kicks with little or no clinch, so Muay Thai is the more complete striking art.

Do I need to be fit to start?

No. Muay Thai will get you fit. Fundamentals classes are built for beginners and scale to your level.

When would I start sparring?

Only when your coach signs off, usually two to four months in, once your technique and control are reliable. It is never forced.

What gear do I need?

Hand wraps, gloves and shin guards eventually. We have loaner gear for your first classes.

How do I book a trial from Brickell?

Your first class is free. Use the online walk-in form or call 305-754-9663, then take I-95 North to NW 54th Street.
