Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Taekwondo for kids 5 and up, about 20 minutes from Doral. Coaches who explain technique in English or Spanish, belts earned on real skill, and a program built around confidence, focus and respect.
Doral is one of the most international communities in Miami, and plenty of families are raising kids in two languages. At KO Zone that is never a problem: all of our coaches and staff are fully bilingual, so a newly arrived child who is more comfortable in Spanish learns at exactly the same pace as everyone else.
The program itself is built on two arts. Kids BJJ teaches control, balance and calm under pressure, the skill set that makes bullying lose its power. Kids Taekwondo builds explosive kicks, coordination and the discipline of traditional forms. Belts are earned on mastery and time, never sold through monthly test fees.
From Doral the drive is about 20 minutes: NW 36th Street east to I-95 North, then NW 54th Street. Adult classes run during kids' classes, so parents can train while they wait.

Five and up. That is when kids are ready for the structure and focus that make classes productive.
When it is taught right, yes. Kids' classes are closely supervised, technique is taught with safety first, and contact is age-appropriate.
No. Competition is completely optional. Many long-term students never compete and train for the confidence and fitness.
