Gi BJJ
Traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Grip-fighting, sweeps, guard work, submissions. The position-chess game that built modern BJJ.

Train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Miami's premier fight gym. Day-1 fundamentals through advanced black-belt level. Gi and no-gi. Tournament prep and pure recreation. KO Zone is built around real BJJ — not a watered-down crosstraining program.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the most-proven submission grappling system on earth. Built around leverage and technique over strength, BJJ lets a smaller, skilled grappler control a larger opponent. Our Miami BJJ program teaches the full spectrum — fundamentals, guard work, passing, submissions, escapes, takedowns, scrambles — in a structured curriculum that progresses cleanly from your first day.
Gi classes emphasize traditional grip-fighting, sweeps, and the slow-game positional chess of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. No-gi classes train the leg-lock-heavy, fast-paced grappling you see at ADCC. Most members train both. Both are taught with attention to how the position translates into MMA and self-defense — because the techniques actually have to work.
We run open mats, drilling sessions, technique deep-dives, competition prep, and live rolling rounds. Whether you're trying BJJ for the first time or you're a brown belt prepping for Worlds, the room has training partners at your level.

Belt promotions in BJJ are based on consistent training, technique mastery, and time on the mat — not a fixed schedule. White-to-blue typically takes 1.5 to 3 years of regular training. Our coaches handle promotions personally.
