Kendall has strip-mall karate studios on every corner. Most of them are fine. None of them are KO Zone. Miami's oldest MMA gym, established 2005, has been teaching real boxing, real BJJ, real martial arts for twenty years — and the difference shows when kids start competing.

The drive is 25 to 30 minutes depending on where you are in Kendall. Most families take US-1 north or the Turnpike to I-95, exit NW 54th. The good news: parents who make the trip 2-3 times a week tell us it becomes part of their family routine. Drop the kids off, train yourself, all in the same afternoon.

Our coaches are fully bilingual. We have Cuban, Venezuelan, Colombian, Nicaraguan, and Puerto Rican members and trainers. Walk in and speak whatever language you're comfortable with.

How far is KO Zone from Kendall?
About 25-30 minutes from Kendall, depending on where you are. Take US-1 north or the Florida Turnpike to I-95, exit NW 54th Street. From Dadeland, around 23 minutes. From West Kendall, 32 minutes off-peak.
Is the drive worth it?
For most of our Kendall families, yes. KO Zone has been teaching real martial arts since 2005. The strip-mall studios in Kendall are convenient, but the quality of instruction at KO Zone is in a different league. Many parents come 2-3 times a week.
Do you have classes for kids?
Yes — kids martial arts is our biggest program. Ages 5 and up. Boxing, BJJ, kickboxing, and Taekwondo for kids. Our youth team competes at NAGA grappling tournaments and amateur boxing events. Real technique, real discipline.
